This author remains one of my all time favorites. I love the worlds she creates and the characters that inhabit them. Here Rylis and Tamrin have their story - and what a story it is!Neither is an all good or all bad man - or being - they are absolutely flavored with shades of grey so intricate that you feel a bit like a bobble head at times. As the ebb and flow goes from one to the other in terms of who has the upper hand the story weaves its magic around you. Captive and Captor both, the men learn about each other and about themselves. Sacrifice - and pain. Heartbreak and joy - all the emotions you want to experience. I loved it! It did make me mad sometimes and sad at others but overall I felt like here ..here is a journey. Epic love - through time and space. My highest recommendation!

This book was interesting. The world building is fascinating. I liked the first book better, though. This one just seemed a little too full of angst for my taste. Both main characters took turns hurting each other. I just wanted to yell "get a grip, already". I liked the ending, though. It finished up the story in an unexpected but satisfying way.
Loved this book. Perfectly described the feeling you get when you want to squeeze the cutest kitten in the world into your chest and the horror of how it would feel if you did so! Loved it!
Enjoy this authors work. Worth reading.
Great story line. Really felt for the characters and their lives. Would definitely recommend this book. Really enjoy this author's books.
This story pulled at my heart string. It was sexy, fast paced, and dramatic. I'd suggest reading the first novel in the series-just to get a feel for the world-but its not necessary. The summary is a bit misleading, the story is so much more what the author wrote. I promise it's worth the money. It had my heart racing on minute and tears running down my face the next.
I really hated what the Eth went through in the entirety of the book. Wings to me pushed some boundaries but in the end was still bearable. This one just made me cry and teeter over the edge. I will not be reading this again. If I do will definitely skip parts. The epilogue made me weep. For a boy now king to never see his father again but goes there every year with hopes of still being heard. SOB FEST!
Interesting world building and unique characters. however, the overall story just didnt capture me. the author wasnt willing to go dark; what should be inexcusable actions were just forgiven and explained way as misunderstandings which kept the book from being interesting. the characters also cried an unrealistic amount of time for supposed warriors. flipped through much if it, wouldnt read again
